The content of the web site is divided into four parts,
each having a pull down tab, namely "The Clarks", "Book",
Interests", and "Gallery". The content of each of those
parts is as follows:
THE CLARKS
- William and Jane
Clark: This page provides a brief description
of the emigration from Yorkshire of the founders of
the branch of the Clark family that came to Durban
in 1863, and became established on a ten acre lot parallel
to what later became Clark Road, Durban, between Brand
and Bulwer Roads.
- Children of William
and Jane Clark: This page provides details
regarding the children of William and Jane Clark, who
in turn established sub-branches of the family in Durban.
- Yorkshire Clark
Family Tree: This page provides the family
tree of the Yorkshire branch of the Clark family,
including William Clark's parents, siblings, and ancestors
back to his great grandfather William (b.1713).
- Attendees at Clark
Family Gatherings: This page provides lists
of family members who attended two family gatherings,,
in 1980 and 1983 respectively, as part of the effort
to gather information for purposes of the history that
became "The Clarks of Clark Road." Photos taken at
these gatherings appear in the Gallery part of the
web site.
BOOK
This section of the web site consists oif the text of
the book "The Clarks of Clark Road: The story of the family
of William Clark, of Clark Road, Durban." This book was
written by Stuart Clark, and copies remain available (see
"Contact Us" for further information). Some photographs
published in the book have been omitted from the on line
version on this website, as have the appendices containing
family tree information. The contents of the book are as

research work, relate to the Clark family and families
that married into the Clark family, or into which
Clark family members married, including the families
of Cooper, Boddy, Winn, Garbutt, Marwick, Liddell,
Milburn, Pattison, Gibson, and Walls.

regard to the research papers of John Frank Clark, great
great grandson of WIlliam Clark of Clark Road, Durban.
These papers consists primarily of the documents,
photographs, interview notes, and other materials
collected in the course of writing "The Clarks of
Clark Road".
